What is included in my plan?
One subscription covers your child's year level: maths and English lessons, writing practice with feedback, and the NAPLAN-style practice tests for Years 3, 5 and 7. HAST prep is a separate programme for Years 4 to 6.
What happens after the free trial?
We email you before your 14 days end. Nothing is charged unless you choose to subscribe. If you do, you can cancel any time from the Subscription tab and keep access to the end of the period you've paid for.
How much help will my child need?
Not much. Lessons read aloud and explain as they go, so your child can usually work on their own. Check the parent view once or twice a week.
How is the learning plan chosen?
A short starting check finds where to begin. After that the plan follows the Australian Curriculum (Version 9), and fixed rules pick the next step from your child's answers. Each activity shows why it's there. AI helps with writing feedback, but it doesn't choose the plan.
Are the practice tests official NAPLAN tests?
No. They're independent practice tests written by Study Compass, laid out like the NAPLAN online tests. Scores are practice scores, not official results. Study Compass isn't affiliated with or endorsed by ACARA.
Can it replace a tutor?
Study Compass is an online alternative to a primary school tutor for Brisbane and Queensland families, and it works alongside a tutor too. The parent view shows what's been covered and where support is needed.
