The real gap is equivalent fractions. Study Compass steps back, fixes it, then returns her to Year 6 work.

Fractions: related denominators
Why today? 3 of the last 5 answers missed on Tuesday.Everything in one daily plan.
A plan for each day
A few short tasks, picked from your child's own answers and the study time you set.
A reason for every task
Every item says why it's there today, so the plan never feels random.
Revision that comes back
Slipped answers return as short checks after 2 days, 1 week and 3 weeks.
Narrated lessons
A teacher's voice talks through each scene, and the lesson pauses for your child to answer.
A starting check
A short first check shows where to begin, so no one starts too easy or too hard.
A calm parent view
One plain answer to "do I need to do anything?", with the detail a tap away.
Every task has a reason.
The plan follows rules you can read, based on your child's answers. Nothing is picked at random.
- Shows the evidence behind each task
- Linked to the Victorian Curriculum 2.0
- Grown-ups can pin a topic or skip a task for the day
Personalised doesn't mean random.
Every topic sits on a Victorian Curriculum map, in the order the ideas build on each other. Your child's answers decide the route through it.
- Check
- Teach
- Practise
- Fix mistakes
- Confirm it's secure
- Move on
It starts with a 15-minute starting check, then every lesson and answer keeps adjusting the plan.
Same year level. Different paths.
Rolling out during the family trial
No repeating what he knows. He moves on to the next connected concept, not just harder questions.
Year level sets the context. Understanding sets the path.

2/7 + 3/7 = ?
Answered: 5/14Adding the denominators too is the known slip for this question. Your child sees why, then gets a fresh check in 2 days.
A parent view that tells you what to do.
Not a wall of percentages. Usually the answer is "nothing right now, the plan has it covered."
- Where they are
- Where the gaps are
- Why they're learning it
- What comes next
No AI picks the path: clear rules over the curriculum map do. AI only helps with writing feedback and explanations.
For you to do
Nothing right now. A revision check for related denominators is booked for Friday.
Number Level 6
Built for one child, not a room of twelve.

Compares typical group tuition in general, not any particular provider.
Selective entry prep, done thoroughly.
Choose Selective Entry Preparation when you set up your child. They get a programme built for the test, not for the school year.
Every topic, covered
89 lessons across reading, maths, verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning and writing. No question type should come as a surprise.
Exam strategies, not just content
Speed techniques, Vedic maths shortcuts, a formulae cheat sheet and how to pace each section. The tricks a busy class rarely has time for.
A mastery set after every topic
Not a short topic quiz. 40 to 50 questions that cover every way the topic can be asked.
A mock every second week
Timed and under exam conditions, so the real test feels familiar.
A marksheet after every mock
Marks for each section, the question types that cost marks, and what to work on next.
A study plan that fits the week
30 minutes on weekdays, 3 to 4 hours at the weekend, plus time for each mock and at least 2 hours to go through it.
Selective lessons are being written now and open as they're ready. All questions are written by Study Compass. We're not affiliated with the Department of Education or the test provider.

Coverage today: maths for Year 6 (with Year 5 foundations and a first step into Year 7), writing for Years 3 to 7, and an early preview of reading. More year levels are on the way.
Things parents ask us.
Is an AI choosing what my child learns?
No. The learning follows a curriculum map, and fixed rules pick the next step from your child's answers. Each activity shows why it's there. AI helps with writing feedback and explaining questions after a test.
What if my child is ahead, or behind?
The starting check skips what they already know. When a topic is secure they move on to what builds on it. When something keeps going wrong, the plan strengthens the earlier idea it depends on. Stepping back and moving ahead automatically are rolling out during the family trial.
Does it help with NAPLAN?
Yes, writing most of all. The writing studio sets narrative and persuasive tasks timed like NAPLAN, then gives a practice score against the NAPLAN writing criteria and shows what to fix. Maths and reading follow the Victorian Curriculum, which builds the skills NAPLAN checks. It's practice, not an official NAPLAN result.
Which year levels is it for?
Years 3 to 7. Today that means maths for Year 6 (with Year 5 foundations and a first step into Year 7), writing for Years 3 to 7, and an early preview of reading. Selective entry prep is a separate programme for students in Year 7 who sit the test in Year 8.
Is it really free?
Yes, while the family trial runs. When paid plans arrive you'll hear first, and nothing changes unless you say yes.
How much time does it take?
You decide. Most families start with 20 to 25 minutes on school days. The plan fills that time, then stops.
Can it replace a tutor?
For many families, yes. For others it works alongside one, and the parent view makes any tutor's time more useful.
Do I need to sit with them?
Not usually. Lessons read aloud and explain as they go. Check the parent view once or twice a week.
Structured around the curriculum. Personalised around your child.
